SCUBA DIVING

Dominica has some of the best diving in the Caribbean. Drop offs, pinnacles and walls are the seascape for an unusual abundance of hard and soft coral. Visibility is between 70 - 90 ft, and the water temperature averages 77 to 80 degrees C.

The Island is quickly becoming known in the diving world as a place to find unusual sea creatures. Electric Rays, Batfish, Frog Fish, Sea Horses, Octopuses and others can be seen on just about every dive. Because Dominica has so many rivers, the fresh water lends a hand in creating a nutrient rich environment, displaying a variety of coral not found in other Caribbean Islands.
