Turks & Caicos Aggressor II
The luxurious Turks and Caicos Aggressor II offers her pampered guests two exciting aquatic adventures. January through March, snorkelers have the rare opportunity to swim, not watch from a crowded tour boat, but actually enter the water and swim with majestic humpback whales. Humpback whales fulfill an instinctual migrating ritual before the inquisitive eyes of visiting snorkelers. It's incredible! Whale charters depart from Puerto Plata Dominican Republic unless specified. April through December, scuba divers set off from Providenciales for a week of thrilling wall diving along the coasts of West Caicos and French Caye.
Six luxurious,
air-conditioned staterooms are located on the lower level. Each carpeted
stateroom features a vanity with lavatory, hair dryer and a TV/VCR. Five
cabins have double and single berths and a private head and shower. The
sixth cabin, known as the "quad," has four single berths with a private
head and shower located right outside the door. A port window in each
stateroom provides great views and plenty of natural light. These well-appointed
staterooms are just steps away from the salon and dive deck. Upstairs
is the air-conditioned salon, an attractively furnished room designed
for comfort and relaxation. It includes an entertainment center with TV,
VCR and stereo with compact disc player. A slide projector, screen and
light tables make slide viewing easy. The salon's comfortable seating
arrangement and presentation equipment make it a great room for lectures
and meetings. Meals are served from the buffet counter in the salon. Breakfast
and dinner are eaten here; lunch is often "al fresco" on the sun deck.
The salon also features a personal computer station with computer, color
monitor, printer and scanner. Guests may send e-mails to their friends
back home via the satellite phone system.
Exiting the salon and traveling toward the stern of the Turks & Caicos Aggressor, guests enter the large dive deck. This is the area where divers suit up and prepare their gear. Each diver has his own personal dive station complete with seat and locker. All tanks are filled in place with either air or nitrox. There are several 80-cubic-foot cylinders on board and two 60-cubic-foot cylinders. After donning their gear, divers take a few steps down the stairs to the dive platform. Entries are made easily with a giant stride and exiting is simple with the aid of a ladder extending underwater. Two warm, 100ÊF freshwater rinse showers and fin racks are conveniently located on the dive platform. A dive briefing area, camera table with low-pressure air hoses, camera rinse tank and head are all part of the roomy dive deck.
A
few steps up from the dive deck is everyone's favorite spot, the sun deck.
This partially shaded deck offers guests a large sunning area complete
with deck chairs, chaise lounges, a shaded wet bar with soda dispenser
and a soothing hot tub. Booths with tables and bar side stools are available
for top side dining and gatherings. The cook will tempt you with mouth-watering
dishes grilled on the gas grill.
Two custom-designed 15-foot chase boats with 60 h.p. outboards are available for shore excursions and up-close humpback whale encounters during the winter whale season. The center control console allows the standing driver a commanding view of the open sea. Each dinghy comfortably accommodates seven divers.
