Great White Sharks, Isla de Guadalupe, MX, October 15-21, 2011
Do you want to interact with the planet’s apex predator safely, up close, and personal? Join us for an extraordinary adventure onboard the Baja Aggressor. This first class liveaboard operates out of Ensenada, MX, with comfy coach transfers from San Diego.
Diving is performed solely in large, roomy Great White Shark cages. Three cages accommodate 3-4 persons each, at depths of 5-30 feet, and everyone has the opportunity to for four or five dives each day. Even your friends, spouses or significant others who are not certified divers can interact with these magnificent yet terrifying animals safely. The only requirements are an insatiable curiosity and the best underwater camera you can buy or borrow.
Great White sharks head to Guadalupe every year but it is in the fall months when the titans of the species come in to breed after a year of migrating thousands of miles.
From the Captain’s log last year, “We had the most amazing weather all week with flat calm seas, no wind at all and sunshine…all week…. Visibility was a crystal, blue 80 feet plus and with the suns rays shining through the water it was without a doubt the best place in the world to see Great White Sharks.” The crew, many of them crewing on the Baja Aggressor for the first time, went on to explain “It is … a good perspective on them that you realize how truly huge they are…however their truly impressive girth is what makes them immense. The action continued all week…. Mainly large females…”
